Our project is a song entirely created by students using digital music production tools, microphones, and live instruments. The students wrote rap lyrics that describe how they will use and benefit from the Microsoft Surfaces. Throughout the creative process, each class period's contribution was combined and built upon in the next class period in an improvisatory manner, resulting in a song-project that promoted listening skills and spontaneous creativity. The video shows images capturing the creative process and the excitement our students feel when creating music. Everything you hear and see in the video can be accomplished with the Microsoft Surfaces and we are always seeking more tools to fully engage the students.
