Our first photo contest winner is Tammy Distefano, who submitted the photo below (which she also took). Says Tammy:

"During my mission trip to Costa Rica last year with my daughter, we worked in an orphanage. There are so many scenes that touched my heart while observing these amazing appreciative children. This picture in particular was a random shot of a young boy I took drinking from a bowl after we had assisted with some clothing and food. The picture I missed after this was his huge smile and his "thank you". When I look at this picture I remember that moment after he was done and his gratefulness over something as simple as milk that we take for granted every single day."
