Neonatal Respirator for Kecskemét Hospital in Hungary

Published on August 22nd, 2013

Here at The PEACE Fund we are delighted to be able to announce that the infant respirator funded by your generous donations has successfully arrived at the hospital in Hungary.

Here is a picture of a little girl, born on the 23rd week of the pregnancy with a weight of 490 gr/1.08 pounds. The key of survival is usually 500 gr/1.1 pounds at birth, on the 24th week. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for the little one.

We are pleased to bring you the first picture of little baby Flora, who as some of you will remember, was the first baby to use the Infant respiratory unit that The Peace Fund helped fund in July 2013. Adrian Paul and his Business partner, Zoltan Furedi, visited the Kecskemét hospital back in July to see the unit in operation first hand.

A hospital spokesman said that it is a miracle that she survived without major difficulties and now on her release will be weighing in at 2150 grams (4.73 pounds). Of course this couldn't have happened without the respiratory unit funded by the generosity of so many.
