Classic cars, classy drivers and a worthy cause

Classic cars, classy drivers and a worthy cause all came together in style for a continents-spanning adventure through famous and exotic locales. Australia’s Sue and Ken Slater piloted the lead car in a convoy that rocketed 21,000 km from China to London, raising funds and awareness for the good works of Teachers Across Borders, Australia, Inc. along the way. The heroes’ journey left them as touched and as inspired as the people they met during their travels. Home now and enjoying the company of family members old and new (including two new grandchildren), Sue and Ken remain ever on the lookout for other opportunities to aid others. In the meantime, you can read all about the experiences they enjoyed here.

The PEACE Fund would like to humbly and sincerely thank the Slaters for including us on their trek and we would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to all of our supporters who donated to the Slaters’ cause. It’s more proof that Protecting, Educating, and Aiding Chidlren Everywhere can happen in any way -- as expansive as on wheels and across continents, or as intimate as right here in our very own homes. Keep your eyes on the PEACE Fund website for more news about how you can help the Fund’s continuing mission to let kids know they matter.
