The PEACE Fund Fundraising

There are few people who don’t desire a world where peace, health and happiness are the norm - and in some lucky parts of the world this is the case.  For those children not so fortunate, platitudes need to give way to active monetary assistance.

We set out to be innovative and inclusive in our fundraising, using it as a means of forging closer community linkages amongst supporters as well as aiming to raise as much as we can for our various causes.  We welcome ideas and support.

PEACE FUND AUCTIONS

With Adrian as a guest and Crazy Tie Day fast approaching, the organisers of the HLWW8 convention in Vancouver decided it was the ideal opportunity to stage a Crazy Tie event for The PEACE Fund.

Currently one of our methods of raising funds is by holding online (internet) auctions offering interested buyers and supporters the opportunity to bid and win on highly collectible and rare memorabilia.

Please remember

The PEACE Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charity and as such has very strict governance and reporting obligations. In order to protect the integrity of The PEACE Fund and the security of contributions made by supporters, any formal fund raising activities soliciting funds using the name of Adrian Paul or The PEACE Fund MUST be authorized by The PEACE Fund.

What does this mean?  Clearly any person is free (and indeed encouraged) to forward funds/donations to PEACE.  We have many current instances of this type of activity (e.g. selling items on  Missionfish). What must have formal authorisation, however, is any activity where it appears to a potential donor that The PEACE Fund itself is soliciting funds and the person doing so appears to be acting on behalf of The PEACE Fund.

Fundraising activities are only formally entered into by The PEACE Fund after careful consideration of many factors, including timing of activities.  It is very important that official and authorized PEACE Fund activities are clearly distinguishable so that potential donors are not mislead or confused.  Where fundraising is authorised, we will list those activities here.

  How you can help

Can you spare just a moment to help The PEACE Fund give children around the world the present of a better tomorrow?

Regardless of who you are...an individual, organisation, professional, fan... superstar or supermom, there's a way to become involved in The PEACE Fund and its work.

As an individual
you can help us raise awareness of the fund and its objectives. Name The PEACE Fund as your designated charity in sponsored walks, marathons, challenges or auctions. If you are feeling just a little less energetic, then there's the more sedate quizzes and coffee-mornings... just some of the ideas you can help organize. We need volunteers to help sell PEACE merchandise at functions that Adrian will be attending throughout 2008. See the Volunteer section on this page.

As a business
the power of the individual is increased many times over. We would love to hear if your organization(or an organization you can influence) is in a position to help us directly or indirectly: from donations through to sponsorship, from casual-clothes days to team sporting challenges, The PEACE Fund is all about creative use of people-power and pooling resources to get the job done. Will your business rise to meet the challenge of protecting tomorrow's generation?

As a school
there is no more apt a mission for children than by inspiring them to help other children who are less fortunate. Can your school or class organize activities that not only raise much-needed funds but also make your community aware of the efforts The PEACE Fund is making currently on three continents?

As a person of influence
Can you spare your talents, your products or your influence by donating either items or time to help raise further interest in what we're doing and funding?
