Yup--me too! Even my reading glasses do not help with that small needle. I dont really tat but tried to crochet with it---NOT!--lol

Are you thinking of lace making? Tatting involves little shuttles - I don't think any needles are used in tatting except maybe to tie the yarn off, are they?

OH--thats what that wooden thingy is! No, Ive never tried to tat and grandma never showed me but I do have her stuff.

Yes! That is what they look like! I always wondered what those were and how they were used. Unfortunately, I now have neither the eyesight nor the non-arthritic hands to be able to learn tatting, but I do have a couple of pieces that my g-grandmum did and its very interesting to see how--
